The food is amazing. I’ve been trying to find authentic carne asada since I left San Diego and this place nails it.

I’ve been coming here for awhile now and can’t stop raving about how good this place is. They’re always so nice, food comes out fast, and the huevos con chorizo breakfast burrito is probably the best burrito I’ve ever had in my life. Pair it with some salsa verde? Golden. Asada tacos are amazing. Birria is solid, not the best I’ve ever had but still scratches the itch. So glad we have this spot and I wish them only the best, they’ll always get my money.

It's my first time here. It's located inside a grocery store. You basically order at the front register, and pick up your order at the food counter when they call your number. I got the lengua, tripe, Al pastor, carnitas, and carne asada tacos. They were all delicious!!! Also loved the avocado salsa. I asked for grilled onion, and they happily made it for me

Got three tacos and they were all amazing. They keep it simple, double corn taco, meat of your choice, cilantro and onions. Absolute perfection with limes and delicious salsas.

Ordered a nopal, shrimp, chorizo and al pastor. Delicious, and I loved the habañero salsa and red salsa too. Grabbed a paleta as well, all amazing and ready super quick

The best street tacos in StL, and it's not even close. Pricing is fair, the team is super friendly, and their efficiency is off the charts. I regularly call in orders for 10+ people and leave with food in less than 15 minutes. It is run by the kindest people- they also own El Nopal in the same complex (also excellent!). AND they do tamale orders monthly- posted on their Facebook page along with daily specials. Bonus for gluten-free pals: I have celiac disease and never get sick eating the street tacos. If you haven't been yet, it's worth a trip.

The best street tacos I've had in St. Louis! El Jarocho is a quaint Mexican market serving up some delicious street tacos, tortas, breakfast burritos and more. An added bonus, they serve Mexican beers to wash down your food and calm the heat from the salsas available. This is not a full service restaurant. You order at the front register and seat yourself. What I was impressed by was that we didn't have to pay right away but were able to keep the tab open in the event we needed another beverage or taco. The workers at the front were very friendly and offered suggestions. There is plenty of seating with your choice of a booth or stand alone table. There is even a "bar" at the back of the store where you could eat or just sit and have a drink while waiting for your carry out order. Let's talk about the street tacos!! My favorite was the chorizo taco and the Al pastor taco. Both were delicious on their own but the avocado salsa gave it that extra kick. Do not underestimate the heat in the salsas!! The avocado salsa was labeled as mild but it does sneak up on you and brings a nice heat. I wasn't a huge fan of the carne asada taco. It was missing something and pretty dull on its own. I've tried street tacos elsewhere in St. Louis County but they were messy and the tortillas disintegrated from too much meat juice. Yes, I did say meat juice. Anyway, El Jarocho's tacos did not lose their structure and were not dripping; nicely flavored meats without the gravy. I will definitely come back and am looking forward to trying a breakfast burrito or one of the tortas.

This place is absolute fire!!! Birria tacos and the habanero sauce is where it’s at! When I say I have eaten a lot of tacos, that does not translate to most people, but I travel a lot and we’ll just say that I probably have more that 100 top notch taco places save across the US. This place just made the top 15.

Back again! Each time I visit, I contemplate the torta, but chicken out because my appetite isn't demanding such a big sandwich. This time around, I decided to jump in on the torta even though there was no chance of finishing it. Oh was I not disappointed! The El Jarocho is the supreme of the supreme torta. It may be the very best in the area, but a side beside comparison with El Toluco would be required in order to anoint a winner! Service was friendly and prompted. Lots of men eating while on their lunch break. Decent ambiance.

When I heard this place had some of the best street tacos in town I knew I had to check them out. After showing up with a group that was larger than what anticipated the staff stay organized and pumped out tacos for a group of 20+ motorcycle riders. The tacos were perfect with a great flavor profile on each individual taco. Each one different than the one before. This is a place I will be coming back to and be eating a lot more tacos. P.S. the street corn is a big portion and just as amazing as the tacos.

Super delicious tacos! Tried the skirt steak (good) and el pastor (phenomenal!). Had rice and beans and of course a Mexican coke. The owner Nikki was very friendly and helpful. Will be back for some breakfast burritos soon!
